Food and Fun at the Burgiss Barn
Located on Elk Knob Road (just three miles from
milepost 246 on the Blue Ridge Parkway) in Laurel Springs, North
Carolina, the Burgiss Barn is the perfect place to host a private
party for your group. Enjoy an afternoon or evening of great food
and fellowship. Whether you come to our shindigs for the Sunday
lunch buffet or want a nice spot for your private
catered party, the Burgiss Barn is the perfect solution for
your weary bones and empty stomach!
We sincerely appreciate your business and patronage,
and are proud to be a smoke-free facility.
Our Legacy: Live Bluegrass and Mountain Music
The Burgiss Barn is well known in these parts for
helping preserve both mountain music and mountain dancing. During
the first thirteen years of our existence, our facility has featured
the finest live bluegrass and old-time mountain music in the Blue
Ridge Mountains. Even though the Burgiss Barn no longer
organizes its own barn dances as it has in the past, the
band stage and sound system are still available for use by anyone
who books a private party.
Host Your Party at the Burgiss Barn
Bring your group to the barn for a private party-
we're experienced in hosting weddings, receptions, class and family
reunions, birthday and holiday parties- just about everything! Our
facility offers seating for over 200 people and boasts a full kitchen
and dance floor. Learn more about renting
our facility for your private party.
The Burgiss Barn offers a full-featured stage (with
a brand new sound system) so that folks who rent the barn can hire
a bluegrass or old time mountain music
band to play at their party if they wish.
Join
Us for Sunday Lunch
You'll really enjoy the fresh-cooked country
lunches we offer each Sunday in season.*
Jimmy Benge, the head chef at JIFF Catering, offers a rib-sticking,
finger-lickin', tongue-twangin' buffet you won't soon forget.
But watch out! The Burgiss Barn is one place where
you'll want to pay attention during your meal. We're famous for
strolling through the dining room, throwing hot yeast rolls to folks
who claim they have room for one more!
*We are currently CLOSED for renovations.
